I write this to
you, not as President of the United States, but
as a brother in Christ who happens to hold that
office. We are family, joined by our belief in
Jesus, therefore we should be able to communicate
as such. So, please consider my words, and the
Words of our Lord that I offer, knowing this is
in no way meant to be sarcastic, disrespectful or
hurtful. In
watching your news conference that ended this
morning, I realize the terrible strain you must
be under. But I pray you draw strength and
encouragement from our Lord, as many prayers have
been sent to our Heavenly Father for you in His
name.
You once said that
you didn't believe God had interceded in your
dramatic election to place you in office as
President. I know He did:
"...For
there is no power but of God: the powers that be
are ordained of God." (Romans 13:1b)
As a Christian,
you must be aware that all decisions in regard to
your office must be in accordance with God's Word
in the Holy Bible. King David knew it, and he and
Israel were blessed for it. Therefore, when
political correctness and diplomacy goes against
God's Word, it brings nothing but the Lord's
judgement upon a nation:
"And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with
it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule
them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the
winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty
God." (Revelation 19:15)
Which brings me to
my point: Due to most of the international news
media's continual negative coverage of the
matter, I know you sometimes feel 'between Iraq
and a hard place'. And I'm sure you've lost sleep
over the never ending conflict between Israel and
the Palestinians...or I should say, what's
appearing more to be between Israel and the world
since anti-Semitism is inching ever forward. You
see, dear brother, Israel is the key to every
tragic terrorist act that's taking place in the
world today. The United States was, and will be
again, attacked because of our support of Israel,
and we're being attacked in Iraq, again because
of our support of Israel. It's time to take a
stand, my brother; it's time to draw a line in
the sand. Remember, God said to Abraham in regard
to Israel:
"And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him
that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families
of the earth be blessed." (Genesis 12:3)
"In
the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,
saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land,
from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the
river Euphrates:" (Genesis 15:18)
"And
I will establish my covenant between me and thee
and thy seed after thee in their generations for
an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee,
and to thy seed after thee." (Genesis 17:7)
You see, brother
George? That's why there's terrorism in the
world; that's why the Muslims want us and the
Jews dead. If you will read my previous
commentary, A God By Any Other
Name, you will see that Allah, the god
of Islam, is not the God of the Holy Bible. So,
if Allah is not God, then Islam is evil and is
taking instruction from an entity that is not
holy. If Satan could eliminate the Jewish race
and the nation of Israel, he could prove God to
be a liar. But, God's covenant with Abraham and
his seed, as shown above, was "everlasting"...forever, which means
Israel and the Jewish race will always be!
Besides, we know God cannot lie because the
Apostle Paul wrote under inspiration of the Holy
Spirit:
"In
hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began;" (Titus
1:2)
So, if God lies,
dear brother, we have no hope of eternal life
through our faith in Jesus. But we know that
isn't true...He's God. With that, I have a
solution to the entire problem of terrorism,
Iraq, and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. No,
it's not diplomatic nor politically correct, as
the time for that is past...the time to honor our
Father and Lord Jesus Christ is upon us. Here's
my suggestion:
Retract the United
States participation in the Road Map. To divide Israel is an
attempt to negate God's land grant to Abraham.
The land will eventually be divided by man, but
it will only bring peril:
"I
will also gather all nations, and will bring them
down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will
plead with them there for my people and for my
heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among
the nations, and parted my land." (Joel 3:2)
"Proclaim
ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up
the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near;
let them come up: Beat your plowshares into
swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let
the weak say, I am strong. Assemble yourselves,
and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves
together round about: thither cause thy mighty
ones to come down, O LORD." (Joel 3:9-11)
Recall every
soldier home who's now in the military overseas.
Not from just Iraq, but from all over the world.
Send 100,000 or more of our soldiers to Israel.
Expel everyone but Jews from Israel, including
the West Bank, Gaza strip and the Golan Heights.
Don't worry, the Arabs already have a nation to
go to, albeit declared years ago by man, it's
called Jordan. Now, working with the Israeli
Defense Force, completely encompass the nation of
Israel from Egypt to the South, Jordan to the
West, and Syria and Lebanon to the North. Our
Naval resources, working in conjunction with
Israel can patrol the Mediterranean Sea. Our
soldiers in Israel could be rotated home every
three to six months. Deceptively simple, but
problem solved. We would then have American
soldiers at home that can assist in Homeland
Security, and we have upheld God's requirement to
bless Israel if we want to be blessed.
Don't worry about
appeasement for goods and services to nations
that don't believe in God and our Lord Jesus, for
God will take care of us if we trust Him. Jesus
told us:
"Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or,
What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be
clothed? (For after all these things do the
Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things. But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be
added unto you." (Matthew 6:31-33)
You may not
believe that Father had His hand in your
election, brother George, but He's placed you
where you are for this tragic time in history
because of your faith in His Son. You have a
marvelous opportunity to show the rest of an
unbelieving world the power of Almighty God in
action. Jesus is shortly coming for us, dear
brother. I hope it is soon. I hope we shall not
suffer much longer. I hope...
"Looking
for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Savior Jesus
Christ;" (Titus 2:13)
May our Lord keep
you and our sister Laura safe in the strength of
His love, brother George. May He guide and direct
you through the Holy Spirit in the performance of
your duties. And may He bless the United States
of America more than He ever has before.
Your brother in
Christ Jesus, and for His sake,
Keith
